Privacy Policy
The short version
Pop Rules has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your progress stays on your device. If you choose to put your scores on the online leaderboards, we receive the player name you pick, your scores and a random ID the game makes up, and nothing else.
What the game saves, and where
To keep your progress, the game saves the following only on your device:
- your levels, stars, scores, coins, chests, Puffs and awards;
- the player name you choose for the leaderboards, if you choose one;
- your settings, such as sound, music, Needle's squeaks, vibration and reduced motion.
Deleting the app deletes this. You can also erase it at any time with Settings → Reset all progress inside the game.
Online leaderboards (optional)
Endless mode and the Daily Challenge have leaderboards. Nothing is sent until you type a player name (3 to 16 letters or numbers) on the leaderboard screen. After that, when you finish a run, the game sends:
- your player name;
- your score, the mode, and the day or period it belongs to;
- a random ID the game creates on your device, so your own scores can be highlighted. It is not your Apple ID, an advertising ID or a device serial number, and it is not linked to you.
Other players see your player name and score. Please don't use your real name. Scores are stored with our database provider, Supabase. To have your scores removed, email us your player name.
Purchases
Purchases are handled by Apple (or Google Play on Android); we never see your payment details. We use RevenueCat to check whether the full game is unlocked on your device. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and the purchase receipt, as described in RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
Game Center and Google Play Games
If you use Apple Game Center or Google Play Games for leaderboards and achievements, those services are run by Apple and Google and are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy.
Information we don't collect
We do not collect your real name, email, location, contacts, photos, advertising identifiers or usage analytics, and we do not use cookies or third-party advertising tools.
Children
Pop Rules is suitable for everyone. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The only thing a player can share is a made-up player name and their scores, and only if they choose to.
Changes
If a future version changes what the game shares, we will update this page before that version is released and change the date at the top.
